Over time, your stock flex-plate can crack. Even on an un-modified truck this is common place 20+ years after the truck was built.
These DieselSite Billet Alloy flex-plates are robust and a very good quality replacement for the stock unit no matter the application or power you are putting to the ground.
With many of the Legendary built transmissions we offer for higher horsepower builds, this is a must for some customers. All flex-plates should be checked and inspected if you are replacing your transmission. This upgrade will eliminate future failures of E4OD and 4R100 flex-plates.
NOTE: DO NOT use OEM steel washer ring under bolt heads when re-installing. This will cause damage to torque converter. Torque bolts to 90ft/lbs
